Integrating Zoom with m.Care
m.Care supports account level authorization in Zoom. As such, an administrator level user on the Zoom account is required to successfully link the app to Zoom.
Adding the App
- Visit https://lstmonitor.com and log into your m.Care account.
- Click Lab on the main menu (or go to https://lstmonitor.com/WebPages/LabView.aspx)
- Select the Video Conferencing Config option under the laboratory menu
- Click the blue Add m.Care to your Zoom Account button to begin the OAuth request. You will be directed to the Zoom web site to complete authorization.
- Check the box “Allow this app to use my shared access permissions.” This is required to allow m.Care to manage meetings and the accounts of other users given the permissions granted to your account in Zoom. This is why the authorizing account must be an admin within the Zoom account.
- Select Allow to complete authorization
Removing the App
Removing the app from your Zoom account removes m.Care’s ability to access the Zoom account. Once removed, user’s in m.Care will not be able to access the Zoom APIs used to create meetings.
- Visit https://lstmonitor.com and log into your account.
- Click Lab from the main menu (or go to https://lstmonitor.com/WebPages/LabView.aspx)
- Select the Video Conferencing Config option under the laboratory menu
- Click the red Remove m.Care from your Zoom Account button
-
You will be directed to Zoom to remove the app from your account.
- m.Care stores Zoom meeting numbers, start/end times, user IDs of the users who join each meeting and their join/leave times. When deauthorizing the app you have the option to allow this data to be retained. If you choose to not allow m.Care to retain this data we will delete it within 10 days of the deauthorization request.
Usage
Each m.Care user may be associated with a Zoom user account. This can be done manually by entering the associated Zoom userID in the Video Conference User ID field on your profile page at https://lstmonitor.com/WebPages/MyProfileView.aspx and saving by clicking the disk icon in the top right corner of the page. You may also choose to leave this field blank and let m.Care assign the Zoom user automatically when joining your first meeting. With this method, m.Care will check if a user exists in your Zoom account with an email matching the user ID of your m.Care account. If so, m.Care will store your Zoom user ID for use in future meetings. If not, m.Care will create a new Zoom user in your account and assign it to your m.Care user.
